Gives Republican incumbent the lowest rating in Connecticut
BRIDGEPORT, CT -- Today, the League of Conservation Voters released their 2008 Legislative Scorecard. The LCV gave Chris Shays a rating of 54% for the year, by far the worst rating in the entire Connecticut delegation, and his worst score from the organization in at least a decade. The Himes campaign issued the following statement in response:
"This is just more proof that Chris Shays is not the man he used to be," said Michael Sachse, Spokesman for the Himes Campaign. "Chris Shays used to be a true environmentalist, now he's joining John McCain and Sarah Palin in chanting 'Drill, baby, drill.' We already knew Chris Shays was wrong on the economy and Iraq - now we see he's wrong on the environment, too."
