All registered Democrat and Republican voters are eligible to vote by absentee ballot in Connecticut’s upcoming primary election on August 11th because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The absentee ballot application is the first step toward voting via absentee ballot for the primary.
Here are the steps you need to follow:
☑️ fill out your AB application
☑️ check the COVID-19 box or another box that applies to why you are voting via AB
☑️ return it in the postage-paid envelope or to your Town Clerk in person
After you submit your application, your absentee ballot will then be mailed to you. Follow the instructions on the absentee ballot to cast your vote for Connecticut’s primary on August 11. The Presidential race and local state legislature races will be on the primary ballot.
Turnout matters in Connecticut this year and the tone we set in the primary will help us gain momentum to protect and gain down-ballot seats.
Absentee ballot applications have already started to be mailed out to registered voters. If you have not yet received your application in the mail, you should receive it soon. Applications can also be found here on the Secretary of State website. If you do not receive your application by mid-July, please contact your Town Clerk.
Forward this email to family members and friends and encourage them to vote in the primary to help us better prepare for this November’s crucial election.
