Congressman Jim Himes Announces Debate Schedule

Congressman Jim Himes is pleased to announce the debate schedule for the Fourth Congressional District ahead of this year’s November 3 election. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Himes will debate his Republican opponent two times in October during virtual live-streamed events.

“We need a Congress that will fulfill its Constitutional duty to act as a check and provide oversight of this President and his administration, and fight for investments for our aging infrastructuresupport, for families and businesses amongst a global pandemic, for the protection of health care coverage for pre-existing conditions and for commonsense gun safety measures. I look forward to discussing these important priorities and more in this series of debates,” said Himes.

Sunday, Oct. 18 Debate from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Hosted by the League of Women Voters

Wednesday, Oct. 21 Debate from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Hosted by The World Affairs Forum

The live-stream links will be available on the Himes for Congress Facebook page.

The Congressman encourages his constituents to watch each of these debates to learn more about both candidates, and also invites the media to attend as well.
