Ridgefield Press: Congressman Himes visits Ridgefield Library, Aldrich Museum

On Wednesday, March 20, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-4) spent time in Ridgefield visiting the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum and the Ridgefield Library.

At the Aldrich, the Congressman met with Executive Director Cybele Maylone and toured the museum viewing exhibitions composed of work created by current and former inmates of Connecticut’s prison system, along with exhibitions of established and emerging artists.

Congressman Himes also participated in another installment of “Jim On Your Job” at the Ridgefield Library. During the visit, he dropped in on the library’s “Baby and Me” class, met with librarians, and checked out books for patrons.

“The arts and literature hold a vital place in our communities, and seeing their impact first hand was a testimony to that fact.” said Congressman Himes. “I look forward to seeing the continued growth of these programs in the Ridgefield community.”
