Labor Day is a time to celebrate America’s hard-working families and honor advancements the labor movement has made to protect workers’ rights.
Over the past 18 months, American workers have put their lives on the line to keep the people of this country safe. Teachers, delivery drivers, farmers, grocery store workers, and factory workers have shown extraordinary courage in a moment of profound challenge. It is an honor to represent so many hard-working families in Connecticut’s 4th district who continue to show strength and heroism.
As we recover from the pandemic it is critical we keep in place leaders who put the needs of working families ahead of corporate interests. Working alongside my fellow Democratic leadership I remain committed to the creation of job opportunities for all Americans that offer dignified work with livable wages.
I will always stand with working Americans on this Labor Day and every day.
